Legal Publications in Spanish was established with the goal of providing valuable aid to an annually increasing number of Spanish speaking defendants. There is a lack of translated materials available both to defendants and legal professionals. As a result, attorneys have been limited in their ability to communicate with their clients. To a large extent, the task of explaining United States law to Spanish-speaking defendants has fallen to interpreters – translated legal materials have simply not been accessible in court or prison libraries. In recent years, Legal Publications in Spanish has become a primary source of key translated materials for the legal community.
